Do you live, work, or play in Kentwood or Walker?
Use Rapid Connect to get anywhere within the defined Kentwood and Walker service areas. This service allows you to connect to our transit system to access the:
- Broadmoor area of Kentwood (e.g., Kentwood Station Hub)
- Three Mile area of Walker (e.g., Alpine Meijer Hub)

Download the app, create an account, and start taking rides. Search for app: “Rapid Connect Transit OnDemand”.
RAPID CONNECT Service Areas
Look up addresses to see if they are in the zones using the Rapid Connect Google Map.
Walker Service Area: Serves the Three Mile Road and Remembrance Drive areas
Key Destinations: Alpine Meijer, Meijer Corporate Campus, Bissell, Walker City Hall, Police Station, Ice & Fitness Center
Hubs/Bus Route Connections: Route 9 (stop at Alpine Meijer - Rapid Connect pick up in Meijer parking lot), Route 7 (stop at Walker Village NW and Remembrance Rd NW)
Kentwood Service Area: Serves the Broadmoor area
Key Destinations: Rapid’s Kentwood Station, Gerald R. Ford Airport, Roskam Baking Company, Kentwood City Hall, Police Station, and Kent District Library
Hubs/Bus Route Connections: Route 44 (stop at Kentwood City Hall ), Routes: 5, 6, 24, 28, 29, 27, and 44 (stops at Kentwood Station )
Hours of Operation
Monday – Friday | 6 AM to 10 PM
* Not available on Saturdays and Sundays
Payment Options
You can pay with cash or the Wave card when you enter the vehicle.
Cash:
Adult rides are $1.75 per person.
* No change and no transfer provided
Wave Card
Adult rides are $1.75 per person.
* Includes a transfer to bus routes and other Wave card benefits
Specialty Wave Cards
Visit the fare webpages to view specialty rates for qualifying individuals.
Accessibility
All vans used for this service are ADA accessible. When you schedule your trip, you have the option of adding a mobility device, such as a wheelchair or walker.
Bring your Child Seat
Children under 42 inches tall ride for free but you must bring their child seat. An appropriate car or booster seat is required by Michigan law. As a parent or guardian, you need to provide an appropriate child restraint system at the time of pick-up. If you do not have an appropriate seat, we can’t provide you with a ride.
